Spiced Popcorn Pumpkin Seeds

What do you do with the seeds from a fresh pumpkin? This is what I do with them! The texture, taste and sound once they are cooked is just like popcorn. Give it a try and let me know what you think ๐Ÿ™‚

Spiced Popcorn Pumpkin Seeds

Ingredients

  • Pumpkin seeds
  • Cinnamon
  • Ginger
  • Cardamom
  • Himalayan salt
  • Olive Oil Spray (See below for oil free tip)

Instructions

Remove seeds from fresh pumpkin. Place on a sheet of baking paper. Ensure they arenโ€™t touching and all pumpkin is removed. For oil free, add herbs and salt while seeds are still wet. Mix well and spread out again.

Allow to dry out over night.

Pre-heat the oven to 180 C or 350 F.

If using oil, add a pinch of desired spices and salt.

Mix in with your fingers until all combined.

Spread out again on baking paper, put on a tray and put in the oven.

Cook for about 5mins. When it starts to smell delicious you know there is 1-2mins maximum left.

Notes

Could use any spices you like. Personally I find the salt is crucial to the popcorn taste.
