Homemade Peanut Butter

I know what you’re thinking… why would you bother spending time to make your own? Great question! For me I use a lot of peanut butter and even though I keep the containers/jars to re-use my stash has been getting out of control. So in an effort to further reduce my impact on the environment I now make my own. It’s super simple and tastes delicious.

Ingredients

  • Dry roasted peanuts (2 jars full)
  • Himalayan salt
  • 1 tbs Maple syrup

Instructions

Measure 2 jars full of peanuts - use the jar you intend to fill up with peanut butter - this should fill up your jar with peanut butter.

Add peanuts to blender and blitz until oil starts to form on top. It can take between 5-20 minutes in my Ninja blender.

Add salt and sweetener to taste. I used 1 tbs maple syrup in the batch I used to fill this mason jar.
